I am trying to use FORMS inherent capability to Record its activities and play them back following the steps indicated on support page:

In 11i Instance I did the following and was able to create the forms recording file. however we are unable to do the same in R12 (12.2.5) instance.


URL to launch application in Socket Mode:

11i:

http://emaofadev01.nspower.ca:8050/dev60cgi/f60cgi

WORKS OK

R12:

http://emaprjebs02.emera.root.local:8030/forms/frmservlet

--Works ok ----

On Adding Parameters to the URL as below for Forms Recording, It works for 11i but does not work fro R12:

11i URL:

http://emaofadev01.nspower.ca:8050/dev60cgi/f60cgi?lookAndFeel=ORACLE&colorScheme=RED&lang=US&env=NLS_LANG='AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P9'+FORMS60_USER_DATE_FORMAT='DD-MON-RRRR'+FORMS60_USER_DATETIME_FORMAT='DD-MON-RRRR%20HH24%3AMI%3ASS'+NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN'+NLS_SORT='BINARY'+NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS='.,'&record=record_file_taj.fld

Works OK, "record_file_taj.fld" file created at $FORMS60_TRACE_PATH

in R12: I am trying to accomplish the same results by passing parameters to the URL as below:

http://emaprjebs02.emera.root.local:8030/forms/frmservlet?lang=US&lookAndFeel=ORACLE&colorScheme=SWAN&serverApp=OracleApplications&digitSubstitution=CONTEXT&env=NLS_LANG='AMERICAN_CANADA'+FORMS_USER_DATE_FORMAT='DD-MON-RRRR'+FORMS_USER_DATETIME_FORMAT='DD-MON-RRRR+HH24%3AMI%3ASS'+NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN'+NLS_SORT='BINARY'+NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS=',%20'

When I put the above in Internet Explorer Address bar, I get the following error:

URL validation failed. The error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation buttons ( the browser Back button or refresh, for example). If the error persists, Please contact system administrator.

I have sent multiple emails to Dataload Support team and also left them few voicemails, but yet to get some response back from support team. I am hoping someone on this forum help me with this issue.
