I'm not sure how to enter instructions for multiple tabs, I've tried {TAB 10} for instance if I want to tab 10 times, but it doesn't work, can anyone help please? I'm sure this is so simpe

You are missing the initial '\' to tell DataLoad to send this as keystrokes. You should use this:
\{TAB 10}
That should do what you need.
