Is there a way to add remarks, so DL will ignore that cell? TIA _________________ Frank / Chicago |

Frank,
No, that's not currently possible but we could add this feature. Would you want to set this up to skip entire columns (i.e. the same cell in every row) or just certain inividual cells (i.e. not in the same column on every row), or both of those?

Hi - I just want DL to ignore the individual cell with that command and continue executing the next cell. I would use it to describe what the next group of cells is doing.
example: *REM copy the item and paste the new price _________________ Frank / Chicago |

Hi,
We've added this to the next release. In the Options window you can specify the comment prefix, e.g. REM, and then any cell with data that starts with that comment prefix is ignored/skipped during the load. You can also convert multiple cells to/from comments by selecting the cells, right clicking the mouse and using the appropriate option under "Convert To" on the pop-up menu. Please test this and let me know if it does what you want and if you find any issues.
The current build of the next release can be downloaded via the following link:
http://www.dataload.com/dlsetupv5500.exe
That's not the final build (but it's very close), so if you do download this version then please download the release build of V5.5.0.0 when that's available.
Thanks,
Jonathan |
